Angie Bolton MA, LPC, ATR continued:
As a counselor and art therapist, I am a strong believer in the power of finding healing through creative expression. I work from an integrative mind/body perspective to explore thoughts, emotions and sensations that you be uncertain about how to express. I also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and EMDR, and would love to see if these would be helpful approaches to explore for you. I strive to offer a welcoming space for people that are working towards their own healing, whether you understand what that looks like right now or not. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, alone or confused, I would love to offer you the opportunity to explore an approach to therapy that focuses on all of you - your mind, body and spirit.
Maybe you've been struggling and aren't quite sure how to fit all of the pieces together. Or perhaps you can't understand how to deal with all of the emotions and triggers that you're trying to manage. Therapy is not a formula, or a magic pill, but an opportunity for us to work collaboratively to figure out how you can better understand your story.
My goal is to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions and understand what your body may be trying to work through. I aim for therapy to be a welcoming, compassionate and non-judgmental environment where we can build a trusting relationship. Let's connect and begin working towards healing and wholeness!
