Your life experiences are unique. How you view yourself, others and your cultural worldview contributes greatly to how you move through and function in life. As a helping professional, I believe it is imperative we work together in order to develop an individualized therapy experience. My primary focus throughout our time together is to establish trust in our working relationship so that you may feel supported and heard. I will work beside you to address your needs so that you may ultimately reach your goals of personal growth and wellness.
Based upon clinical training and work experience, my client population includes adults, aging adults, adolescents, individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety disorders and individuals and families working toward a life free from addictions as well as negative coping habits.
Utilizing an integrated humanistic approach, I will tailor your treatment to address target areas specifically while drawing upon the theories that support our therapeutic direction. These include humanistic theories such as Person-Centered and Existentialism as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches.
I am also a trained Art Therapist. Many people have benefitted from the experience of exploring their thoughts and feelings through art and creative expression. My clinical training in art therapy allows me to utilize another range of tools to assist clients in a creative way. Additionally, engaging in art therapy provides many holistic benefits such as brain health and cognitive wellness.
Additionally, I am pursuing an advanced certification in alcohol and drug counseling (CAADC) in order to support the family system as a whole to experience the benefits of recovery.
I look forward to getting to know you. Please reach out when you are ready and let’s get started!
