Perhaps you have struggled with depression/anxiety, and you are looking for ways to cope and decrease your symptoms. Maybe you have experienced one or multiple traumas throughout your life, and want to learn how to live without those traumas disrupting your current life. You could be a woman who is struggling with a pregnancy loss, infertility, or birth trauma, and you want to talk to someone about it. Whether it is trauma, grief, a mood disorder, a challenge with pregnancy/infertility/pregnancy loss, I am here to help you identify your goals and move towards them using a combination of approaches from evidence-based practices.
I believe that many individuals coming to therapy can benefit from techniques from a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities. I have received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed care, grief and loss, and suicide prevention and crisis intervention.
Deciding to participate in therapy is a brave decision, and I think it is important to honor and validate that decision. Reaching out to a complete stranger to address your worries, traumas, grief, and changes can feel daunting initially. To maximize your ability to grow and change, I place high importance on building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
