MA, LLC, ATR-P

I believe that we all have a story to tell, we decide where that story is going, and we create our stories in the here and now. I strive to meet clients as they are and where they are when they come to therapy. I aim to create a welcoming, authentic, and safe space to explore feelings, develop stronger coping skills, and gain insight. By taking an active role in the therapeutic process, I am confident in the client’s ability to self-
actualize, create the changes they wish to see, and meet or exceed their goals. Life can be challenging, but with the right guidance those challenges can become your strongest tools in navigating and transforming your life.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and humanistic, drawing from person-centered, existential, and Gestalt therapies. As an art therapist, I recognize the healing power of art and active art-making and will encourage clients to utilize this tool. As a counselor, I assist clients in empowering self-growth, cultivating compassion, and building connections. I stand with diversity, inclusivity, and equity for all and will strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental space free from discrimination. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief and loss. I also have experience working with ADHD, ASD, pediatric neuro-rehab, and cancer populations. I have worked with a wide range of ages individually and in groups and in medical out-patient settings, community mental health centers, as well as within
elementary and middle schools.

I currently hold limited licensure as a professional counselor (LLC) in the state of Michigan and national provisional art therapist credentials (ATR-P). I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Art Therapy Association, as well as their local chapters in Michigan.
